Our Story
Rooted in tradition
El Maguey was born from a simple conviction: the best Mexican food comes from patience, quality ingredients, and recipes that respect where they come from. Our name — the Spanish word for the agave plant — speaks to that commitment.
Every tortilla is pressed by hand each morning. Our moles are ground from scratch, layered with chiles toasted to order. We source from local farms when we can and import the rest directly, because shortcuts have no place in a kitchen that takes itself seriously.
Located on North High School Road in Indianapolis, we've been serving our neighborhood with the same warmth and attention since day one.
